I ordered my E6410 (with i5 540, NVS3100m, 4gb RAM, 320 GB HDD, WXGA+, Intel 6200, backlit keyboard, Win7 64bit, BT, 6cell battery, 4yr warranty, LO Reader, webcam, silver) on april the 7th. Estimated delivery date: 4.5. Got the Order number for checking the Status site on the 12.4. it was already in production then. On 21.4 it went to shipped. Since the 22.4. it lies in a dark forgotten container somewhere in Shanghai. UPS says: ask Dell. Dell says: 4.5. - we`ll see.

    go for the express card

considering the lifetime of a latitude notebook (around 3 years) express card is a much better choice as it's several times faster, offers more expansion options in the future (PC Card is quite old by now and dieing out) like USB3 (there will be no USB3 pc cards as the pccard slot is way too slow)

It is indeed a great blue. I can't stop looking at it :)

I went with the Intel graphics and the 60 Watt Express Charge Battery.
In balanced mode, I got around 5 hours with Wifi on and BT disabled and the display was set quite bright. However, I didn't really do any demanding things except for surfing. Tomorrow I will take it to my classes where I will do some more realistic time measurement, with Office on and Visual Express coding, Skype etc...
I'll be back with the results.

P.S. Ubuntu 10.04 runs just perfectly. Everything works out of the box including Wifi, BT, Sound, VolumeButtons, Microphone...

What price could you get at Dell directly?

I hope your laptop will arrive soon

Well there is one little problem :) , as I found out: I can't get the touchpad to enable scrolling. Still trying to find a solution... Apart from that no problems. The new Ubuntu takes only about 20 seconds to boot on this machine!

On those photos it appears the bottom chassis isn't also blue? On my Regal Red E6400 the entire cover/chassis is red except for the keyboard/palmrest/battery.

On the E64100 only the cover is blue, the rest is black except for the battery. I prefer it this way actually.
