Hi there, I'm from the US, in California.
I ordered mine on Apr 16; it had an estimated delivery date of May 7. A week later (now!) it's still in production.
I hope my order doesn't get cancelled!!!
    :)

When did you ordered the notebook? What is the date of the first UPS-scan?

    I ordered it on 12.04.2010
First UPS-Scan was 22.04.2010, today it's still in Shanghai

I have to say that's pretty fast compared to my old Dell XPS M1530. It was scheduled to arrive tommorow, but as mentioned there are delays due to the flight cancellations in Europe. According to the UPS-Website, their flights have been back to normal since this Friday, 23th. So I really hope I get it soon...

My order was also cancelled today. My saleswoman had generated a new order(number). I'm still waiting for the reason of that.

@hugohansen24: is your E6410 on the way?

I ordered mine on the 9th of April and as far as UPS can tell it is still in Shanghai like Hugohansens. First scan was also also 04-22-2010
So I called Dell and they said that at least the notebook is not lost.

    @hugohansen
Und die deutschen Lappies kommen auch aus China. Etwas blöd finde ich das schon.

Same thing here. My order got cancelled today morning, now i got a new generated order. I called my salesman and asked for an explanation. He said that they have an shortage on Intel i3 and i5 processors, so they have to wait till the next shipment from Intel arrives.
But it seems like the processor shortage is a general problem:

I agree that 64bit is the way to go, but regarding office 64bit there is still time for it, mainly because of add-ons.
It is even recommended by MS to install the 32bit, unless you really really need 64bit.

The article is trying too hard...
1- All CPU's has MMX since many years. I don't think anyone has a CPU that doesn't have MMX and is 64-bit. Heck even my mid-2005 AMD Athlon X2 4400+ Socket 939 has MMX. Maybe the VIA 64-CPU CPU or the first 64-bit CPU's that cost 3 000 $, but no one has these today.

2- Microsoft stated that sharepoint host will only be in 64-bit. If you want to host a file.. you need the 64-bit version installed, else it's view only.

3- Not many uses add-on on Office, and it's easy to translate for the company that makes them. Most common add-on for office is PDF converting. But since a while ago, Adobe went with the virtual printer approach instead of the add-on, which provided better conversion to PDF, faster, and support all applications.
