Has anyone tested the new UEFI bios for the E6230? I was wondering how it works (incl. fan regime) and whether it's worth the upgrade.

I am a bit reluctant to take the leap, given that it's not recommended to downgrade the bios to a pre-UEFI version.

Does E6230 support dual 2560 x 1440 displays using Displayports in replicator?
Currently using dual 1920x1200 displays, but wondering to upgrade to dual U2515H displays.

I am and I'm happy to report, that:
    - under Windows 10 there's no need to download any drivers manually
    - under W10, Intel 7260 AC works good (including A2DP); I used to experience hiccups under W8.1 but a system reboot was a fix
    - Samsung 850 Evo SSD upgrade boosted the machine a lot and made it quiter, but I still experience buzzing touchpad noise once I put a finger onto it and don't know, whether there is a way to fix it (googled it, but I don't think there is a thing I can tape)
    - IPS mod:
    a) is not easy, requires removing the hinges for cutting and fitting the LCD panel that is just a little too big
    b) gives a visible gap between the bezel and the screen that is a dust magnet plus it prevents fully closing the lid - but I carry my notebook in a backpack daily and there is not enough pressure to hurt the screen
    c) is a big image quality upgrade, though brings backlight bleeding and ghosting
but I still love it, just as a backlit keyboard upgrade.

I tried the LG LP125WH2 SL B1 from an X220 and it did indeed require removing two tabs from the top of the bezel; unfortunately it started having problems so I swapped it with my current LP125WH2 SL T1 from a ThinkPad Twist, and I'm happy to report it is just a tad smaller than the stock AUO screen and may not have required any mods at all.

I forgot to mention, my panel is B3, iirc. Is your current screen touch enabled one? What about the previous one, for how long it had worked and what happened?

Non-touch for both, the B1 had some problem with the ribbon connectors that are glued to the LCD control board. I think it was the right hand side one, whenever it flexed a certain way the screen would distort and I'd get artifacts or lines or just a total blackout sometimes. It was a used one and started to go wacky in under a month.

I bought LP125WH2(SL)(T1) for Thinkpad S230U from Ebay.
But LP125WH2(SL)(T1) does not power on at E6230.

your E6230 works normally with LP125WH2(SL)(T1)?

There is a newer BIOS A19 released 26 Apr 2018:

Seems to include patches for Meltdown and Spectre:
