Broadcom USH requires the Dell Data Protection | Access Driver package. Unknown Device is likely the ST Micro Accelerometer (Free Fall Sensor). I think the Intel AMT HECI/SOL driver should take care of the others.

Go to Welcome to Dell Technical Support, enter in your service tag to find the appropriate downloads, select the right operating system, then download the following (and install them in this order):

Dell Data Protection | Access Driver Package
Dell Data Protection | Access Middleware Package
Dell Data Protection | Access Application Package

Does anyone have any issues with the Dell System Manager?

    I've got 2:
    - the brightness meter (as displayed on the screen) does not change its value (volume does), though of course I can adjust brightness levels
    - the mute volume button does not work (the other two are ok), though it works without the Dell s/w installed

I have installed and re-installed the System Manager several times and both issues remain.

Are you using the OEM video driver or generic one from Intel or Windows Update? Brightness settings usually won't sync with generic drivers.

Interesting. I've never had a brightness meter. But then again, I never use Dell display drivers... they're always out of date and very buggy.

i bought this laptop from dell outlet and it works great. I7 2640m, 4 giga ram 128gb ssd. i have two questions:
    1. can i use the fingerprint reader software to store passwords other than windows' logon (websites, emails, etc)?
    2. the laptop works great but when i'm using the gpu (playing adventure games) it warms very quickly. is there a way to cool it better? i've already tweaked its power options and thermal mode and it's still getting warm.

    thanks

You can install the WBF Fingerprint Reader Driver, which will allow the fingerprint reader to work with other software. You'll need to have your own copy of UPEK Protector Suite or a similar program.

You can replace the thermal grease and see if that helps, but it's not designed for gaming. Having the fastest CPU option probably won't help either...
