    Hi
Just got myself a e6220, 2nds with basic spec and some dead pixels on the screen, but for just over $AUD300 I'm really loving it!
After following this thread have ordered a backlit keyboard off ebay. However, I'm unable to find the service manual (as mentioned above) - the closest thing I can get on the dell website is the user manual. Can anybody point me to the right URL for the service manual? Thanks heaps!

we ordered 5 of these for work, and I built one up today, wow what a little screamer. Ours all came with the Samsung 830 SSD's and 8gb of memory, and the performance is quite impressive.

Yea, with SSD's and a nice chunk of RAM... to be so tiny, they pack a punch.

I find these comically fast for such small machines with the i7, 830 SSD and 8GB of RAM. The as SSD means even with all the e you have to run in the background as a corporate machine it still runs very well indeed.

Nope. A 9.5mm HDD won't fit in any way. Tried it with several drives.

Hi - This is an excellent machine. I bought a used one, and it only came with the Win7 (64 bit Pro) disk. It's missing 4 drivers:

    Broadcom USH
    Mass Storage Controller
    SM Bus Controller and
    Unknown Device

In the Device Manager. Any ideas where I can get the drivers (I can't find them on Dell's web site, and they won't auto-load). Also - - the Unknown device - - any ideas?

I have always just gone with the Windows Update drivers in the past, and my own software, avoiding all the Dell applications. Any reason to not do so here? I don't have a webcam on this machine.

    Thanks!
