It's annoying when it goes on and off when I'm reading an article or reviewing some notes... I guess you don't have the answer then

 

If you have DCP System Manager installed, you can increase the timeout, but other than that, the answer is no.

Link to my review, I'd appreciate feedback, it's my first review.

 

I am pretty happy with my E6220. It's definitely an upgrade from my E4200. My E4200 had an issue that Dell could not fix so they sent me an E6220 to replace it. I only use it when I travel and the size is great. Already ordered a battery slice for it. Curious to see what kind of life I get out of it.

 

Have any idea why that is? I'm pretty sure with the keyboard lighting switching on and off requires more power than staying on.

 

Anyone have any good suggestions for a case/sleeve for this laptop with the extended 6 cell battery? Some of the mba cases/sleeves won't fit due to the excess baggage in the back.

 

I would be really surprised if that was true...even though LEDs are energy efficient, power adds up when you have so many.

I use a Dell XPS 13" sleeve that I had been using with the E4300. Seems to work great, and it's quite thick too (better protection).

 

I got the ZeroShock III 13" case. Works great. Even have the slice on there.

I have noticed that some parts shops sell Dell keyboards listed for E6220, E6320 and E6420.

Which makes me wonder - would it be possible to put an E6420 keyboard with a pointing stick on the 6220? I imagine Dell did not provide a pointing-stick keyboard on the E6220 because they could only fit in one set of touchpad buttons... But I like to use the stick for scrolling, and so I have no use for the second set of buttons...
