Just ordered a refurb E4310 (i5-580/4GB/250GB HDD/DVDRW @ $594), but it seems like it's lacking a webcam. It's not the end of the world, but is there any inexpensive way of adding this after purchase? None of the bezels up on eBay mention having the camera/mic. Thanks for any advice!

Might wanna get an E4310 owner to get their system configuration page up with the webcam so they can provide you the Dell Part numbers.

Looking at a previous post in this thread, it looks like I'm after part 6NWJK - which, according to Dell, is $140.96. Far more expensive than I had hoped. Guess I'll keep my eyes on eBay. If anyone has any other tips, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

I went from an E4300 to an E4310. I weighed them on the same scale in nearly identical configurations when i first got the E4310 and the weight difference was around 0.4 pounds IIRC. The exact figure should be in one of the posts I wrote comparing the two.

I hope the E6320 loses some weight because IBM sells a thinkpad (T410s) that has a 14" screen and weighs under 4lbs. Would love to have something like that from Dell in their latitude line. Also, please for the love of god, upgrade the display in the E4310. Vertical viewing angles are atrocious. I will not upgrade my E4310 until it loses some weight and gets a better quality (and, hopefully, higher resolution) display.

The last set of slides my dell rep showed me about the new E series has the E6320 "slightly" heavier than the E4310.

( think it was around 0.2 to 0.3 pounds heavier. )

How hot is your 4310 running hot? I cant figure mine out. I do have the power settings to go full speed (which I think it is doing) but man it gets hot.

    Is this normal?

I mean it is a bit hot but it is a thin notebook. Arrandale processors do get toasty.
