Let's hope the display quality and viewing angles don''t suck as much as they did on the E4300.

On the glass half-full side, it offers:

    Core i5
    up to 8 GB RAM
    Intel HD Graphics

I have no problems with the display on my E4300.

A quick comparison with the E4300 shows the drawbacks of moving to a WWXGA display. The computer is about 1/2" wider than its predecessor and about 1/2" less from front to back. One effect of the latter is that there is less space on the side for ports.

Perhaps the only improvement on the E4300 (in addition to the slight CPU and graphics boost) is that the optical drive is now removable. However, Dell have again missed the opportunity to introduce a media bay battery.

I guess I'll be holding onto my E4300 for a bit longer.
Don't see any improvements worthy of the cost.
I already have 8GB ram, and 256GB SSD in my E4300

Wow, how disappointing to see they didn't try a little harder to improve upon the E4300. I would love to have seen three USB ports and HDMI, and as John says the option for a battery in the media bay so that it competes better with other business notebooks that do. Yeah, I see few reasons to upgrade from the E4300 -> E4310, better processor is great and all but not that important for such a laptop.

It seems that Dell improved the only thing people don't look to when buying this kind of laptop...
