Sorry to hear about fan issues some are experiencing with this machine. I ordered the V3560 BTX and have had it for a few days, used it for ~20hours, in my case the fan noise is fairly quiet most of the time and only throttles up when doing cpu or gpu intensive tasks.

One thing I thought I'd note that was important to me. I needed a laptop that could run 64-bit quests OS. I researched, and in the end got the i7-3632qm, it was still a gamble, but it worked out perfect. This machine is a beast and handles 64-bit guests with ease. I am personally very pleased so far, hope the same for others.

Hi guys, is there anybody facing the problem with missing mSATA connector in his laptop??
Couple of days ago I bought my brand new vostro 3560, i7, 8GB RAM, 750/7,2k HDD, 7670 1GB GPU and was pretty curious to upgrade it by my already bought 128GB Crucial mSATA SSD and move the system on it. Yesterday I dismantled all the laptop, as it is described in the manual to install the SSD, but at the very end, after turning around the LAN board which should accommodate the connector, I realized, that the connector is not there. There were just unused pins and a free space for that bloody piece of plastic. (Now I know that it is possible to check if the connector is present through a small rectangular hole in a bottom plastic piece of chassis after removing just the cover.)
As long as everywhere, in all reviews AND even in all manuals posted directly on DELL website is written that it it possible to extend the laptop with an mSATA device, I have to say that it is one big blame. Nevertheless, I contacted the technical support immediately asking for an explanation. Have not replied yet....
According to the information I get on a dell community forum there are two optional LAN boards, one with and one without the connector, which are used respectively if you are buying a configuration originally with SSD or without. But this optionality is mentioned NOWHERE.
I want to press on DELL to replace my LAN board by one with the slot, but hard to say if there is any chance to be successful.
Is there anybody else facing the same trouble, or already undergoing any negotiation with dell?
Now I'm really angry and disappointed DELL customer, because the mSATA slot availability was one of the crucial criteria for me, when I was hesitating which laptop to buy...

We have a few 3560 at work and they also don't have a slot for mSATA but in other reviews they indeed showed there is a slot available. I think you're right it is optional and NOT mentioned by Dell..although we do not use it anyways at work so there are no complaints..

... So now I must admit that DELL has saved its reputation in full range. Yesterday I called the technical support, claimed not working (in fact not existing) mSATA slot and today a technician came and exchanged the LAN board without any doubt for the one with the m SATA connector.
