Do you know if this laptop supports remote wake/wake on LAN? I checked in the owner's manual here: Documentation and it seems there is no such option in the BIOS available. Can someone confirm?

Just got my Vostro 3560 this morning. Everything has been splendid so far except for a few things like the gap between fits on the left side of the laptop, both on the bezel and palm rest - such large gap is not seen on the right side. I am not sure if it's me, but my space bar has been noisier than other keys. Other keys are very silent (even the touchpad keys) but the space bar gives out a comparatively loud click (or 'thud'). My keyboard is of the backlit variant. Anyone can confirm if theirs are the same?

Hey guys, my laptop is currently running the driver version 8.951.9.1000 for the 7670M GPU.

Catalyst mobility is saying that my GPU is incompatible and tht my graphics adapter is not supported soI can't seem to be able to update the driver. Should I be trying the leshcat program? It seems to be what people are using to fix this problem.

Is it risky to try doing this as a noob?

Hi, I'm interested to buy the vostro 3560 but I've got some questions, maybe you can help me. What do you think about the FullHD screen? Is the fan always on? Is it noisy? I'll use the notebook for office/lightroom/vegas pro. Do you think it's a right choice? Any throttling or heat issue? I'm planning to buy the i7 version...

    Thanks in advance!

FHD is nice, font may be a bit small but working on spreadsheets will be very easy with such resolution.
The fan is inaudible if you do not stress it (e.g. play games, extracting big files etc.) but pretty loud when it kicks in. Cooling has been pretty great - never heats up when doing simple tasks and cools pretty quickly after the machine heats up. (Just finished playing games and at the time of writing, the machine has already cooled to normal level, thank to the loud fan!)

I can't say about yours usage on video editing but I suppose that will keep the fan running - if that bothers you a lot, you may want to look elsewhere or find a way to keep the fan speed down using applications.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I used the old vostro 3500 and the fan was always on also with the notebook doing nothing. I have no problem with running fan during heavy work like video editing. I just want to be sure that with ms word/internet explorer, for example, the notebook stay quiet. Is that right?

Yup, quiet, even when loading youtube videos. My configuration is probably the best you can get directly from Dell though - i7, 8GB RAM, 32GB SSD for caching. I think they don't matter too much though but still, YMMV.

    Hey BeelzebubUk,
Do you find any any problem with the left button of the touchpad when pressed from the top edge sticky in and cuming out i.e making click sound.

Nope, tried with right button as well. Both touchpad buttons are as quiet as it could be - one of my favourite features of my Vostro 3560.
