Mine was supposed to be delivered by the 23rd and I still haven't received anything. I had called them last week and today I got an update about it and she told me that they are now testing the laptop and should be shipped soon. I think like someone has told me here already that they are in safe launch. Hopefully they start shipping them out soon. Mine is also the covet

    Nice.

I just updated the drivers too. On Windows 8, the notebook drivers would not install ("This version of Windows is not supported"). The desktop drivers took fine though. No issues so far, will give it a little more rigorous testing later this evening.

My M6700 arrived today, one day early. Seems to be in one piece, and it turns on. Would test it further, but my body has decided it's time to have a headache. I took some very basic unboxing photos.

Sorry for the Covet folks. Hope you get your machine soon.

I have yet to see a single M6700 "unboxing" video. Does it come in a pretty box or an ugly generic cardboard box? :p

It comes in an ugly cardboard box labeled "DELL" in very large letters. Inside are two smaller ugly boxes. The bottom box contains the laptop, while the top box contains everything else.

The laptop's inner box is well padded, but the outer box is not; the inner boxes are free to rattle around somewhat during shipping. However, my box arrived in great condition, and the laptop inside seems unharmed.

Will post a few pics tomorrow.

    One question for you.
I need to know the dimensions of the 2 drive bay on the m6700.
They are exactly the same size?
And how are the drive mounted?
Because I want to buy a samsung ssd 830, but it's 7 mm thick, so thinner than the other ssd.
Will I need a "spacer" to make the samsung as thick as normal ssd to be mounted in the bay, or will it go perfectly as it is?
    Thanks a lot to everyone
