Well that doesn't make a lick of sense. Would you care to tell us how and/or why such a scenario would occur?

Got a strange issue with my M6700 here. I got the standard FHD screen and it has moving vertical lines which are fairly noticeable on white backgrounds if you're not viewing the screen dead on. The moving lines can be seen dead on if you stare hard enough. Screen that shipped with my system appears to be a LGD02DA. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

My only guess is that it may have to do with the FRC dithering since it's a TN screen.

Has anyone here gotten a Chi Mei screen? They seem to have done a complete 180 and are putting out some very good panels. Seeing reviews of the new 17.3" panel and they are measuring better than the AUO and LG.

That effect is know as Moire, from photo and video applications. The result of spatial aliasing. Solution: anti aliasing filter and/or increase pixel density.

Today they released some non-beta drivers for the Quadros, version 305.93.

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 305.93WHQL

K5000M is on the list of supported products... (As well as K4000M and K3000M)

Windows 8 doesn't appear to be supported officially (from the documentation) but they did leave the "win8" in the file name.
[Edit] - Nevermind, it does say Windows 8 on the site. Just doesn't show up when you search for Windows 8 drivers.

I haven't tried to install yet but I might this evening.

Not sure if it's any different, but this is the actual notebook version download page. Previous link I posted was for the desktop version. (I actually noticed it while updating drivers for an older desktop Quadro card.)

This one doesn't say anything about Windows 8 support which is what led me to believe that Windows 8 is not supported. However, the desktop version linked above does claim Windows 8 support and also supports the K5000M. Haven't yet checked to see if the files are actually the same or not.

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 305.93WHQL

    [Edit]
The two files are not the same.

I just updated to the 305.93 drivers, and ran 3DMark11 to test, before and after (I ran test twice each in case any caching etc.):

    Before:
    P5698
    Graphics - 5435
    Physics: 9342
    Combined: 4667

    New 305.93:
    P5887
    Graphics: 5663
    Physics: 9428
    Combined:4651

Not sure why combined was less, but graphics was up 4 1/2 percent or so, nice improvement for first rev of drivers...
