    For those that got an M6700 with i7-3820QM, can you post here your temperatures ? (at start, without CPU load, and FullLoad).

    Sure, though it will take me some time to get to that point.

    Hi
    I have two questions for you about the m6700
    1) How is the quality of the "normal" fullhd display? In comparison to the ips version?
    2) Can you advise me some backpacks that can contain without problem the m6700, the power pack, and some other stuff like books for the university?
    Thanks a lot to everyone

    I haven't seen the IPS screen, but I have the regular "full HD" screen and I'll say that it's the best laptop screen I ever had. It's plenty bright (300 nits, same as IPS) and the color is quite good. I'd say it's completely adequate, unless you're into graphics or something and need the even better color that the IPS offers.

    (Don't have any experience with backpacks. I use a regular well-padded shoulder-strap bag, which wouldn't be large enough to add a couple textbooks. When I was in school, I had a similarly sized machine, and I carried it in a separate bag than my books and stuff.)

    Thanks a lot for your answers
    I'm glad to hear that the quality of the fullhd display is so good
    I'll continue searching for a backpack, I don't like to have more then one bag

    Picked up a DAC/Headphone amp over the weekend. Current plan was to let the new DAC and the headphone out on the M6700 burn in for a couple of days and start comparing. Unfortunately the DAC I picked up is not good. Going to Order a FIIO instead.

    Nvidia just posted the 306.02 Beta Drivers. Even though it does not show up under the K5000M download link, guess what is in the nvdm.inf file?

    NVIDIA_DEV.11BC.053F.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro K5000M"
    NVIDIA_DEV.11BC.153F.1028 = "NVIDIA Quadro K5000M "

    There appear to be issues with the PremierColor software. I am seeing some posterization when using the "full" profile. The "default" profile seems to work ok. Will probably go back to the Dell Drivers later on, but wanted to try these out.

    64 bit link is broken - http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windo...n8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-beta.exe

    My Covet is scheduled to deliver on Friday. I ordered with minimum RAM/Drive and no mini SSD, but I have 32GB of 1600 RAM from Crucial, two new 512GB m4 SSD's from Crucial (will be RAID 1) and a 256GB mini SSD. (It was WAY cheaper to buy the add ons from Crucial, and RAM is lifetime). I also upgraded to the i7-3920XM Extreme 2.9GHz CPU. In other words, this thing should border on super computer...

    I wasn't going to do it, then Dell sent me a 40% off Mystery Coupon email...damn you Dell, damn you.

    Was that 40% off on top of the special deals they currently have?

    No. When you add the coupon it removed the other deals. From everything I could tell this is still a much better deal than the other ones they have - even if you call in. Best I could get with other deals + phone sales guy was about 22%.
