I *might* be able to do it during the weekend. Getting my dev environment up and running before Monday takes precedence though.

I've never done this kind of benchmark before, so I might need some guidance to get it right.

Whoo Hooo! Just got an email from Dell...my Covet Edition has shipped. Original ETA was Aug 31, then bumped to Sept 11, now tracking shows it should be at my door Sept 4th. Hope everyone else is getting their Covet just as soon.

Awesome! Let us know how bad are the reflections of the gorilla glass cover.

Of course can be used, only thing is the laptop will run at lowest speed until u want to bang it on the wall. Even the mouse cursor moves like carrying 100mt weight on it. I tested this on M4600 last year, so M66/6700 will be even worse.

DHewes, Don't forget to make an unboxing video and take pics when you receive your covet.

I noticed that Dell's configurator added two new video card options in between the AMD and the 5010. Both of them support the IPS panel - so I called back and changed to the 3000 video card and the IPS panel.

The website still said that the AMD was not compatible with the IPS panel.

I have been assured that that will change in the coming weeks. Didn't feel like waiting even longer so I just upgraded to the 3000.
