Thanks. Something is holding up my order for the 7560 from 6/16 so I switch to Xeon with ECC since the cost as not much more. I think it might be the bottom cover without the SSD door or the 2x32GB non ECC memory I had. Sales rep was not sure. I did the 7560 the same config of a 7760 I ordered on 7/2 and went into production 7/5 (Xeon with ECC) and bottom cover with SSD door.

Our four 7560 systems (in production) all have the "no SSD door" bottom cover.

Thanks. I guess that is not the SSD door. Maybe the 2x32GB non ECC.

Rep just emailed stating "I can’t see the exact part number, when searching it shows the chassis SKU with i9 processor." He is still looking into it further.

However, I see some posted they got the i9 and it moved to production.

Any reason you went with the no SSD door? Security concern?

Honestly, I just think it looks nicer. The only time I plan on removing/installing SSDs is when the systems are first being set up so "convenience" doesn't really matter.

Looking at the dell site, right now the discounts on the 7760 look to be much better than the 7560. Spec the machines the same and the 7760 is good amount less. Wonder why?

The 7760 has a limited time discount. The 7560 does not.

I think it's pretty likely that you could get a rep to spec a 7560 system at the 7760 price (or better), if the latter is actually cheaper for the config that you want.

This evening I received a status update email from Dell saying, "Your item is on schedule to arrive by Aug. 06, 2021. We’ve finished customizing your product and are sending it from our factory to our sorting center. This process can take up to 5 business days."
