    I don't know the issue but something else is FUBAR, and perhaps it's what is throwing those errors...

    In the USA, upgrade from 11500h to 11950h is + $339.75 , so how is it possible that in UK it's $72? ($1.38 to 1). I think everyone here would upgrade for that, vs $270 difference

    I think this was pointed out before; I think that the base price for the system in the UK is a good bit higher, though.

    They "should" work. With the recent few systems we have seen cases of RAM that "should" work not working, no one can say until we have people actually trying it out. Delay ordering your RAM until the system ships if you can, so that you have a maximized return window.

    The density of RAM chips. High density RAM has more RAM per chip. This means that for the same amount of RAM, high density RAM will have less chips and low density RAM will have more chips.

    That's correct. When setting the UK and US prices of my config the same, the UK base spec is 30% more expensive than the US base spec. That's 500 USD (362 pounds).
    Getting a low end spec in the UK seems like a pretty bad value. The GPU pricing is quite a bit cheaper in the UK to upgrade to the A5000.

    Why is it unlikely? Is it possible some people may be more savvy at negotiations than you?

    Indeed. It seems to have something to do with latencies and the effect can be pretty dramatic. Here is a another video from Linus Tech Tips where they compare a Ryzen 5900HX / Radeon RX 6800M laptop and a Intel 11800H / RTX 3080M laptop and they swap places performance-wise after swapping the RAM modules of two laptops. Crazy stuff.
