thanks! any advise on how to find it online for sale? since it's also the name of another TN model, i'm afraid that i'll end up buying another model. it's really important that i'll find this panel specifically. i'm having problems with the haze in my current PLS panel.

You have created some uncertainty in my mind about the model number of the panel that was in my E5570 and I'm not in a position to check it (and the new owner is on holiday this week). If I understand you correctly then you want a panel with modest anti-glare coating so that it does not cause too much image diffusion. The panels described as "ultra sharp" but non-glare may be suitable. The panel in my Precision 5510 is sharper, and less anti-glare, than that in the E5570. This panel is identified as SHP1453 / LQ156M1. I don't know if it is plug compatible with the E5570 but a specialist LCD panel seller may be able to help.

Thanks john, that's really helpful. What panels should I aim for in general? Semi anti-glare? Non-glare? I had the same problem with the LG panel that was installed in my latitude e5570 (i5-6200u).
i think that I've managed to narrow down this eye fatigue issue to the anti-glare coating, but I don't know if it's really the case here.
Now I have the sdc4c48 Samsung PLS installed in my latitude 3550. the coating is noticeably grainy, and as once before I'm experiencing the same haze and blur, especially in low to normal brightness levels. The only thing that helped a bit was to reduce the contrast and the brightness levels to minimum in intel graphic. Maybe it's not entirely related to the anti-glare coating. Does it sound like a known problem?

Meanwhile I found more information on the au panel. apparently there is some kind of a big mix up between the panels b156hw01 v.1 and b156han01 v.1

I have noticed the difference in image quality with different anti-glare panels and some have had noticeable graininess (also called the "screen door effect" as it can be similar to looking through a fine wire mesh). The display on my Precision 5510 demonstrated to me that the anti-glare panels do have different levels of coating and less coating (as on the 5510) gives a clearer, sharper image but with more reflectiveness (but much less than with a glossy panel).

The challenge is to figure out which non-reflective panels which have only a light anti-glare coating are available and compatible with your notebook and that's where I'm not much help but a specialist panel supplier may know the answer.

hi, Thank you very much as usual :) i tried to google and i couldn't find any further information.
Regards to my previous message, i've managed to find a thread written by someone that had a similar eye fatigue problem as the one I’ve experienced with the LG panel in some of the latitude e5570 (blur & haze, grainy screen) - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/acer-p645-sg-led-screen-makes-me-sick-help.793504/page-3
His solution was to replace the panel with a panel that is non-pwm, with semi-glare coating.

personally, I have no idea if I’m sensitive to PWM, hard AG coating or probably both.
Now I get a one time opportunity to swap the current panel under dell's warranty.
but since my latitude 3550 uses PWM in some unknown frequencies, I’m afraid that swapping the panel won’t eliminate the PWM, since I don’t know how the laptop controls the back light. Does the backlight controls relates to the panel or the laptop?

    Hello all,

I hope I am right here with my question. I just received a brand new E5570 with the Full HD screen. Everythings looks and feels great except the display. I have backlight bleeding in the upper left corner and on the whole lower bezel of the display.

Is this typical for an IPS panel?

I already tried to wipe the sections with backlight bleeding away but it does not work. If I press on another location of the bezel I can reproduce this issue but it will disappear shortly except the areas I described above.

Did I get a bad display? Is it normal for this type of display? Do I need to call the on site service and will the service technician be able to remove those areas?

    Many thanks and best regards

    Rudy

Are you seeing this under normal usage or only when the screen is black (such as when the computer is booting)? Some visible backlight bleed is common with most LCD panels (whever type) during the latter situation.

Uneven pressure from the bezel, as you have discovered, can cause backlight bleeding. Have you tried gently lifting the bezel with a fingernail where the bleeding occurs in order to reduce the pressure on the LCD panel? This might achieve a quick DIY fix. Otherwise, if there is visible bright area under normal usage then ask Dell to arrange a replacement.

I see this only when the screen is black or when watching movies on my Latitude. So I assume this is quite usual under normal usage. However, before trying on my own with my figernail I will call Dell and check this with them.

    Thanks a lot.

Another question: Can I just replace my 500 HDD with the Samsung Evo 850 SSD or the OCZ Trion 150 and install Windows from the restore partition of my HDD?

Do I need to change any settings after changing the HDD for the SSD?

Would you clone the restore partition to the SDD befor re-installing Window on the SSD?

    Can I replace the intel SSD 256gb in my E5570 with a Samsung SM951 512GB NVME (M2 type 2280, 2150mb/sec read, 1500mb/sec write)???

Is it support the NVme protocol????
