My D630 was ordered on 8/30 and arrived relatively early 9/7 with the 3-5 day shipping. I ordered the wxga+ screen, and that's what I got. I don't know if that is what's causing a delay for some people, but it didn't cause a delay for me.

The laptop is great for surfing the web at native screen resolution. However, I think it depends on what is "small" for you, or what is "ok".

IMO, it is a great resolution for working with multiple windows, and gives you more workspace.

The D630 will be a nice change from the D810.

    Best,
    Ilham

    kmtoner--

I have a D630 with the WXGA resolution and it's great for me. I think the WXGA+ would be a little small (for me). I went from an HP ZX5000 with a 15.4" WXGA to the D630--and I'm much happier with the D630. Much easier to carry around--much more sturdily built--and even with the smaller screen, it's easier on my eyes (screen quality is quite a bit better).

Also, my D630 is the quietest laptop I've ever used. I don't hear any kind of whine at all. In fact, the fans are so quiet, I don't even hear those when they kick in unless I'm listening for them.

    dordale :)

I don't understand. I ordered one on 8/11 and it has been delayed. It was supposed to be here on the 7th, but now they pushed the date back to the 17th!

Hopefully they included the bezel. They seem to forget to include that because honestly, you'll break yours when you take out the screen. It's not reusable.

edit - and I'm not saying it will break 100%, but once you take it off, you can't reuse it.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I ordered on 08/07/2007 and delivery date was supposed to be 9/6/07. Now it's just stuck in production

So I checked last night on Windows Update, and noticed that there was an update for the Bluetooth 360 Module for the D630 (mine is running Vista 32-bit).

Has anyone installed this new update? My Bluetooth functions well at the moment, so I'm not sure if I should update, or just leave it be for the moment. I normally leave Windows to check for updates, but not install them, until I say so...

    Just looking for experiences.

    Best,
    Ilham

yeah, mine is WXGA+ But I bet they keep a stock for replacements that is separate from the stock they use for new machines, and they probably give first priority to replacements. My panel has shipped (at least they gave me a working tracking number) and should be here Monday.
