I know there is a way to check temps because I was able to do it fairly easily in Linux, but I don't knwo what windows program will do it. But this thing seems to run really hot ... it said it was reaching up to 70 C. But on the other hand I had been playing around with a fan controlling program which might have turned the fan speed down and made it get extra hot. I'll check again at some point, though.

You can do it in the bios, I would think. But, you'd have to shut down and do a quick shift to bios during the log off to do it.

Actually, plenty of photographers and video editors specifically use matte screens because the reflections/etc. of glossy screens interfere with their work. They also can make color accuracy and matching more difficult.

I got my D630 a week or so ago and LOVE it!! I'm thinking about installing an Intel Turbo Memory card. Has anyone had any experience with them? How much do the boost performance? How easy are they to install?

Also, when my lid is closed, the gap between the lid and palm rest is noticeably larger on the right side. Not a big deal, it just kinda bugs me when I look at it. Has anyone else had this "problem"?

Haven't done it yet, but I ordered TM too from Amazon. I think you may need a couple of screws to fit it in though.

    Screen Question:

I needed my D630 quickly, so couldn't afford to wait for the WXGA+ screen. While the WXGA is completely serviceable, the screen appears washed out. I've played around with the settings and a few color management programs, but haven't yet achieved an ideal result. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem, and does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
