    I placed the order the 29th of October and its in ""production"" since that day. I don't get it how it takes so much time, probably they hired snails or something to build it.

    Mine says "Estimate delivery date: Nov - 7, 2008". My laptop (E6400) is made in the U.S and shipped to me up to Canada. I don't think they can actually start building the machine tomorrow, test it, ship it, and pass through customs, and then to me, all within one day. So, I don't' think I'll have my lapy anytime soon, and THIS IS ANNOYING.

    I ordered mine October 22nd and got an estimated delivery at December 8th still. Sales rep said it "should" go faster but no change to status yet, still pre production.

    I've seen on other threads that people are getting their M6400's after about 2-3 weeks. Earlier than estimated by Dell.

    In case you miss the update to my original post, I just wanted to let everyone know that my order confirmation date was 10/22 (order was placed on 10/16) and it just changed to shipped status this evening. So, it's two weeks from order confirmation to shipping. 2 1/2 weeks ahead of the estimated 11/21 ship date. My Covet is on its way! :)

    Dell Order Status system is busted for Canada.
    It still says the same message as before, but I have received an e-mail, saying my "Lappy 486, featuring several(TM) color display" was sent today. And that I'll be getting is on Friday.

    Mine shipped out of Nashville yesterday, left Memphis at 6:30 this evening, and will be in my hands as soon as the FedEx truck arrives tomorrow. I take some pics if anyone wants.

    Mine (fully loaded...) has an order date of November 4, estimated ship date is 11/26/2008, estimated delivery is 12/1/2008-12/3/2008. Current status: In Production. In my experience, Dell's shipping and delivery estimates are very conservative, so I may well have the machine before Thanksgiving.
