Your core clock probably shouldn't be higher than your memory clock... and... I'm pretty sure thats way to high to be safe :\

When did I say the core was 900 and the mem was 700? The mem is 900 and the core is 700 ;)

DoubleBlack what is your 3dmark05 score at that clock? It must be over 5k?

EDIT: Also, what 3dmark scores have you guys been able to pull off? My highest is 4700 in 3dmark05. :)

To be honest, I don't have 3DMark05 installed nor have I ever used it...I think stuff like that is stupid. But what I can tell you is what is built into Windows, and that my WEI score is 4.7 :)

Oh 3DMark is stupid but the WEI isn't? ;)

In any case, that's quite a jump from the 4.0-4.1 default.

I never said that WEI isn't stupid, but it's included by default into Windows and that I can tell you. I don't have 3DMark installed, nor do I really want to...

So I'm not sure if I should return my Vostro 1500 or not and get a replacement 8400M GS, another question: are you guys running XP or Vista? Still can't get my memory clocks above 570 which makes me think its a hardware problem... my defaults are also weird, 167/100, 275/200, 400/400. Any suggestions as to what I would tell Dell the reason is ?

Which drivers are you running? And I don't think Dell will let you return a system because you can't overclock it...you aren't supposed to be overclocking it anyway <_<
