i dont use cad/cam/rendering software, i use my precision for business purposes but i also use it for gaming (its my own company so my 'business' laptop is also my personal laptop) which is why i like the fact they have the cheaper but equally good in gaming firepros as an option. now, all i have to do is resist the urge to buy several monitors so i can play around with eyefinity....

Does anyone know if the Display Panels are different in quality, because a dell rep. told me that the Samsung Panel should be the best one. I got a LG Panel, hence I wanted to know if my Panel is less good as the Samsung one.

in my experience, unless there is a major issue with one of the displays in quality control. the difference is negligible

For pure sound quality from the in-built loudspeakers my old DELL XPS16 is way in front in this department.

IMO it is a pity DELL could not have used the same audio hardware in the M4600. This is one area I was not overly excited about.

    Hehe,

that would be a good thing ;). My worries concerned the possibility that certain games might not work with the firepro due to driver problems. If the card behaves like its gaming counterpart, everything will be fine!

    Thx for your answering!

    Great review!

Has anyone come to a conclusion about the 2.5 hr battery life? There's no hope of it being any longer?
