Minor update on benchmarking 1333Mhz RAM and 1600Mhz. No actual application test.

Kinda disappointed in the idle power consumption :( Was hoping for a bit better battery life..

After a week of use, my battery lifetime went from 3:20 to 4:15. I have FirePro and 9-cell battery, and the screen is set to very low brightness.

So it's not the IPS PremierColor panel?? That uses even more power, I understand.

EDIT: Since you're using the ATI card, you must not have the IPS panel, with which Dell demands you get the Quadro 2000. 4+ hours ain't bad.

    Hi all!

Thx for the nice review and all the information.

I am considering to purchase the m4600 with the m5950 implemented. Just one thing bothers me:

Due to the "professional" gpu, are there any shortcomings with future games besides some fps-drop? So is it possible, that some games will not work together with the gpu or maybe crash?
Since i want to use the dell not just for my work but also for playing homm 6 and diablo 3, this is a major point for me :)...

    Thank you very much!
    Greetings
    sebastian

unlike the nvidia's, the firepros seem to be performing identically to their radeon counterparts in gaming

So, would that be a "good" thing or "bad"?? Please elaborate.
