p.s i bought it under my company name, according to my rep they cant give such big discounts to personal orders. they dont really check though. just make up a home business :p

they send you the quotation, you have to sign and stamp it (if you have a stamp) scan/fax it back to them

then they'll call u and get your card details.

I dont know how legit passmark is, but the m4400 scored a 896.4 / 900.0 on a recent benchmark.

I have to order through a hospital so I don't know if I can say I'm a business... So I'll just have to see what deals he'll be able to give me
I might tell him there's also a nice Lappy on radioshack.com I like and might get just to see if that'll get him to give me a better deal? I really want the 4gb's of ram
By how high that score is I'm guessing thats really good...
@RAM I see you have the M4400, Do you have any complaints about it? Or is it a really nice Lappy? Have you by any chance played Oblivion on it? I'de love to know how it runs

I havent played any games on it, havent had the chance to buy any to test it out either. Benchmarking so far, everythings good. Really high performance once you tweak your OS (if you have Vista that is).

Complaints? 1. There's 6 mouse buttons for the touch pad! Overkill for me, in a good way. Not really any complaints on here. Everything is absolutely flawless on this sytem. The build quality is just amazing. Everything is flush with each other, screen hinges are dead tight and the backlit keyboard is so fun to use (the lights are off since its so late, and this is my first time utilizing the backlight...really useful). No typos, see?

    LOL

might work. anyway i think hospitals get a 30% discount. my sister did anyway.

@RAM Thats great to hear, You just made me much more Happy about me getting this Lappy, And I was un aware it hads 6 mouse buttons, If I can get them all to do differnt stuff under Linux (It will probably take some work but should be possible) Then I'll be vary pleased with them... And I can't wait for the backlight keyboard... I can't wait for this Lappy :)

@afhstingray I get an EPP discount but the Percisions aren't under the EPP discount so I can't use it... sadly, Unless I could possibley get the rep to let me use the EPP discount anyways?

Thanks for sharing. What were "all the usual requirements". Did you get any software - like MS Office? If so which version?

If you'd have issue with linux installation on this laptop, you could also install VMware then linux in virtual. In Virtual Linux run faster with VMware than in real installation, specially on hi-performance computer like it !

I've read that Linux runs pretty good on the E6500 so far... You just have to use a very up to date distro
And I want my Real Linux install not no VM

Does the 9 cell stick out the back at all on the M4400
And have much Batter life will I gain with a 9 cell?
