    cdmc,

I am amazed at your fast delivery time.

    When did you order?

Did you order from the USA?

    online or phone?

What was your initial Estimated Shipping Date after placing the order?

You have any idea what led to your highly expedited delivery??

    Thanks!

I ordered it on Thursday, August 21st. The order was placed via phone after I configured it online and e-mailed it to my rep. The quoted shipping date was September 15th. I guess I have really good rep, his orders always seem to go out ASAP.

5.9 lbs. I'm kind of disappointed in that I was hoping that this laptop might be as light as the 15.4" MBP. (5.3-5.4 lbs).

Does the back of your E6400 suffer from any flex? My M4400 has quite a lot of flex (it's made of plastic, which was disappointing), and I'm thinking of sending it back for an E6400 instead.

Hmm... I was sure on the ripply part on the M4400 was magnesium alloy. Is it really plastic and not cold to the touch (metal)? If that's true that's pretty disappointing.

cdmc, and how do you find the hinges?can you compare them to the hinges of an ThinkPad or the hinges of the old D series latitudes? Do you really think that they have improved them over the last generation and they are stiffer now? Does the display shake when you move the base of the laptop?
    thank you in advance!

Would be nice to have some more pictures of it. Especially of the screen brightness and quality

The back of the screen feels very stable, the hinges feel very tight. I don't have an older thinkpad (last one I had was 9 years ago) or D series to compare to.
