Matrox has a display port edition of the DualHead2Go.
    http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/

Looks like this would also us to run two 1920 x 1200 monitors using the m6400 display port and still use main LCD display. Although, I haven't found it in stock at any online reseller.

*Counts the days until Dell drops the Core i7 into the M6400*

When you consider that the midrange processor at 1.7Ghz at almost half the price of the Core 2 Quad @ 2.53Ghz is benchmarking right alongside it with substantially less heat...I think its a foregone conclusion that Dell will be updating the M6400. The question is when. Later this fall? Spring? Hmmm

    They're already testing it (M6500)..
Normally it's about 3 months later when released to customers so I reckon either just before or after xmas.

Any ideas if we'll be able to upgrade the processors of our M6400 to the new Core i7 's? or will be have to buy NEW M6500's?

Nope...i7/i5 (LGS1366/1156) are a different socket to the Core 2 (LGA775) so you'd have to upgrade to the M6500..

I guess that would be more fun than just flushing the money down the toilet.

You're joking right? Your M6400 is basically my dream desktop replacement, except that it doesn't have 16 GB of RAM (easy to upgrade). If you buy a new M6500 it's, like someone said, little better than flushing it down the toilet (except if you manage to sell the M6400 for close the original price).

Did you hear the news? In 2014 Dell will release the M7600 with Intel i16 (16 cores)! Of course I am joking! Are we exchanging info about our top of the line mobile workstations or we express our greed for the latest and the flashy? Here is the question: Did anybody manage to install the Intel Turbo Memory 2GB in a Covet M6400 under Vista Ultimate 64?
