OK, Lets get this party started!!! October 23, here I come.

Ordered a M6400 today. Estimated ship date 10/23!

    nVidia 3700m (Yeah!!!)
    1440x900 WXGA
Dual 80GB hard drives (have my own 320's ready to go in)
    Backlit keyboard (Standard)

I'm just waiting for the RGB LED screen, then my order is going in. If the orange case comes out by then, sweet. But not going to wait just for that.

I hear ya - thats the one thing I would have liked, an LED 1440x900 screen. But I don't feel like waiting for an option that may never come.

My eyes are terrible; I just can't handle a 1920x1200 screen - I quite like the 1440x900 size and besides, I can enable *ALL* the eye candy on the 3700M and run at native res! :D

i would have really liked an option for a 1680x1050 screen.. but it looks like there aren't many 17" notebooks with this option around anyway

I agree. I currently have an Inspiron with a 17" WUXGA screen, and when I'm not working with graphics I downshift to WSXGA. I could easily live with WSXGA full time, but since I'm often not tethered to my external monitor, I need more real estate than the WXGA.

This LED option is available now on the UK site :

17in Widescreen WUXGA (1920X1200) with Regular LED LCD Panel

so seems odd if its not on the US one.

The only one missing appears to be the "edge to edge"

Strangely on the US site you can order with two hard drives in raid, on the UK there is only a single drive option.

Does the Hdd take up the optical bay or something?

Cool, thanks. I'm going to go hit that refresh button. Edge to edge isn't really a big deal to me anyway.

Nope, not in the U.S. just yet. I may just wait to see what the price diff is with the RGB LED vs. the Standard LED.

....the edge to edge will be out only on the orange version at some time before the end of the year allegedly
