Just the parts or configured with an entire new system? I can configure a system any way I like, just like anyone else, except my prices are lower than you'd get by going to Dell's site.

I don't think I get much of a break just on spare parts though, if that is what you are asking.

Hey Experts! I talked with two Dell-Vendors and they say both that IPS-Panel and optimus is no problem? Whats right now? I read here that this doesn't go...?

    Thanks!

I am not sure if anyone has already asked about this but on my m4600 when using the built in speakers does anyone else get a very high pitched tone that plays as long as the speakers are on? It is really obnoxious and it doesn't play on headphones or other speakers but those aren't always easy/practical to use. As far as I can tell, 1-2 hours after the tone starts it eventually goes awayw. Is this something I should call dell about? I got the onsite extended warranty so hopefully it would be covered.

m4600 is the best "gaming" notebook I ever owned !
Incredible cooling system, the fans are always under disturbtion level in my opnion.
Although it has two fans, it's quieter than my xps 14 under gaming condition!

I wish Dell can use this internal desgin on AW .

Unfortunately optimus is not availible with the IPS display. It is because the intel graphics only support 8bits per channel where the graphics from Nvidia and ATI support 10bits per channel. Switching between the color depths would be problematic.

Would one of the owners of an m4600 with an IPS display do a review on just the IPS display. There seems to be a lack of information regarding its features and performance. One user said the monitor looked very oversaturated which I wouldn't think would be a problem if it was running in sRGB mode. Also I have seen complaints about poor black levels and weak contrast. Other users have said it looks amazing and is a must buy. If someone could post their impressions, pictures and colormeter data that would be amazing! Thanks!

If anyone here is an owner of the IPS display with the Quadro 2000 graphics, could you give me any idea of what your battery life is like? Do you have the 6 or 9 cell battery? Do you have the secondary battery that replaces the drive?

I'm getting one of these in for review. I work in printing/graphic arts and color fidelity is very important for us. Having a screen that can display full AdobeRGB would be phenomenal. But we also travel a lot with it. If it weighs 10 pounds with all the extra batteries to get more than 3 hours of battery life, an sRGB capable system (like the e6520) with Optimus switching will be more appropriate for us.
