To any owners, what is the model of the BD or DVD-RW drive and the model of the mSATA drive? Is the ODD 9.5mm in height? And are any of the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 powered for charging (when laptop is powered off)? Thanks!

    Mine finally came :)

Power adapter was huge as well. Installed 16GBs from 4GBs and the WEI memory index only went up .3. Removing the keyboard trim was tough, I felt like I was going to snap it, but other than that installing the memory and replacing the harddrive was a breeze.

Speakers are much better than my last laptop (Vaio) and the IPS screen is great. Only crits at the moment is the power adapter. Its big and it's a straight plug into the back of the laptop. My last power adapter had a 90 degree plug and went into the side of the unit, which meant that when it was pulled on slightly it wouldn't accidentally get unplugged. So far, I have accidentally unplugged my laptop twice in half an hour. On the bright side, if somebody trips on it, the laptop won't go flying.

    Hi together,

    I'd like to order a M4600 :).

I want to go with the WLED Screen, so that means I can use Optimus.
I want to know, if there are any options in bios for optimus like:

Can I turn the discrete Nvidia Graphics off in bios?
Can I disable the oboard Intel Graphics?

What about Optimus hybrid? Is is possible to connect three external Screens to the Dell Docking station and use them with the M4600? Has somebody done this by now?

Thats my questions for now :)

    Thx for help.

    pan

Is there anybody able to compare a Display with 300 cd and the M4600 IPS one with maximum brightness? Maybe you could post a picture of them, because theres aren't any test results and I want to get an idea of the difference. Thanks :)

I'm using a DeLOCK enclosure where I put the disk from the Old M4400 very successfully as well as Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex for backup. Both work perfectly without separate power.

Never find something better than the magsafe from Apple...
on my older MacBook, I often had unplugged the wire accidentaly...simply amazing...plus the adapter is A LOT smaller...
