You know i think light weight laptops are less resistant, if something is fried you have to replace the entire board and considering the newer they are the expensive is the motherboard, at least with this one you can save the cpu if is ok and the board is cheap and i like the ram is cheaper for the 4 slots it has
My Latitud E6430 got stolen and find that one with Nvidia is way expansive than i get the m4600 120 bucks with adapter and 4 gb ram
And it's true as i am at college i want a powerful laptop but i don't have the budget to get one of the new ones, and the cheap ones are around 300 lol
And why companies still charging you if you have something in guarantee with them smh???

Fellas need advise or help, my unit arrived until now for the hurricane. But there were and still have issues or weird stuff, first i installed a fresh and clean Windows 10 and the cpu was sluggish as hell, just getting 0.60 ghz. I remember in another thread that some Intel stuff was disable the performance will be better, and indeed i disable it but then again i was just getting 0.78 ghz in a Intel Core i5 2520m that came with the unit i got from ebay.

After i used driver booster it went to 2.47 ghz but it doesn't boost to the 3 GHZ just stays at that speed, then the FirePro m5950 it is detected as an 6700m but BIOS says FirePro m5950, i even downloaded drivers from Dell and even the one on AMD site for the model but then it just seems to install but does not install. It works normal even i installed Fallout 3 and it is playing normally.

And the other issue is that the USB 3 ports are on USB 2 speed i have disabled WWAN but just goes on 37 MB/S when on my desktop it runs at 150 MB/S.

It came with an 90w charger does this have to do with the performance? or i will have to buy at least the charger on 130w?

The 90W charger is likely the big issue. The Precision line of machines needs the higher wattage PSUs because of the high end hardware they have. I would buy at least a 180W charger for it. For my system I use a 240W.

Confirmed, the system will be a slog unless you plug in a 180W adapter or better. You will probably observe that it runs faster on battery power than it does with a 90W adapter.

But with 130w should be better? I don't want to be with a brick on my backpack at college, and i have seen a slim adapter but 130w. So i guess it also has to see with the gpu? according to gpu z it is running at pci xpress 1.1 instead 2

See Bokeh's M6600 review, the section labeled "Power Adapters". 90W and 130W offer similar performance, but the 130W allows for faster battery charging. I expect that the situation will be the same on the M4600.

These systems were not designed to be used with power adapters below 180W. It works, but the system is overly conservative and cuts the speed drastically.

Battery charging yesterday got me scared at work it almost took 6 hours to charge but as soon i got at home and i connected to my ups was normal, i think that at work is bad connector stuff, also the battery is the one of 65w and it seems to last only around 1 hour

These machines are not designed as ultra portable. They are meant as desktop replacements (or very nearly) so they are going to be heavier, take more space, and be harder to move than most laptops. If you want to get all the performance you paid for, you will need a minimum 180W adapter. There is no way around this.

Well i don't feel it so heavy, but it's true these are beefy laptops, just wondering if i can put 14 gb or ram or should i put 4x4 GB. Right now i have 6 GB so it would be cheaper get 2 sticks of 4 GB each one instead buying 3 sticks of 4 GB

I would replace what it has right now with two 8GB SO-DIMMS to give you 16GB of RAM. Not only will this likely be more than you need, but having matched pairs of RAM will allow your system to run in dual channel mode which will give you a bit of a performance boost. With mismatched pairs, you either dont get dual channel at all, or Intel CPUs will do a hybrid dual channel, which still isnt as good.
