Also, there's touchscreen upgrade available for M4600... this isn't available for M4700, M4800.
However this touchscreen LCD screen only comes with 1366 x 768 resolution.. there's no FHD option unfortunately...

I wonder if there's FHD touchscreen but honestly I don't need touchscreen that much. touchpad is enough for me.

Yeah... 1366x768 resolution sucks for Adobe software.
If it's not minimum FHD, there's no reason to buy expensive graphic cards....
Too bad these guys didn't make FHD touchscreen for M4600.

If you guys find FHD touchscreen for M4600, please update on this thread.

i think Dell do good products but they suck in some parts, have seen in lot of threads about the laptops with dedicated gpu overheating and having cheap thermal pads and thermal paste , you have to buy your expensive but good components, considering that a laptop with dedicated gpu is more expensive than the normal ones with the integrated of the cpu. At least i have read goods reviews about the m4600, just the bad thing that is like the Warthog... heavy and ugly but yet capable and powerful for today standars. The new line of Precision 7510 resolves the heavy part but loses at his bga socket

M4600 is a little heavier than newer laptops made with plastic housing.
But I it this way because its metal housing is indeed super durable.. and its bronze color is pretty classy. I think Dell engineers knew how laptops will look like 7 years later!
M4600 doesn't feel old or look outdated at all. It does have heat but It's not that bad.
I wish It can upgrade to DDR4 ram and K2100M....

Lol the Warthog of laptops, yeah i know that it has been made of good materials, wish it could support Ivy but well it won't happen.
Considering that it has more than 5 years is like a tank

Yeah, my only regret is not finding this unit earlier on and wasting money on generic Lenovo laptops.
I paid $750 for a Lenovo Thinkpad E555 with A10 CPU/GPU in 2015. Lenovo Thinkpad Edge is a junk when compared to M4600 with i7 CPU and M5950 although M4600 is 5 years older.
All consumer grade laptops are lighter but more expensive and less powerful than M4600.
I won mine for only $150 on Ebay and will buy again...

You know i think light weight laptops are less resistant, if something is fried you have to replace the entire board and considering the newer they are the expensive is the motherboard, at least with this one you can save the cpu if is ok and the board is cheap and i like the ram is cheaper for the 4 slots it has

Yes, M4600 motherboard sells for $20 on Ebay.
Some guys are selling 1000M Quadro card for $10.
Its backlit keyboard is only $12... adapter is like $9. M4600 battery is only $18.
    There's nothing to worry about.

Last time I broke my Asus laptop which costs $300. Asus repair center asked $220 for repairing it despite it's still under warranty.
I took the laptop back and just smashed it.
