the only bad thing about it. is that is heavy... but easy to upgrade and parts are cheap
i wonder why intel is so expensive between generations and only difference is about 10%

Exactly. Easy to replace nearly all parts for $10...caddy, keyboards, adapter, even LCD screen is only $60 on Ebay.

2nd gen i7 is only 10% behind 3rd, 20% behind 4th but once you get SSD, high speed RAM, I don't think you'll feel too much difference.

I guess it doesn’t really make that much of a difference then. I had seen some posts about how much the earlier generation i7 CPUS suck I’m comparison to the new ones so I was almost feeling bad and guilty over how happy I was with my M4800 which is now four generations old that I just purchased earlier this year around early March.

I had a desktop with I7 Extreme with 64GB RAM...
This M4600 with i7 quad core with 16GB can handle pretty much all I could do.
I installed FirePro M5100 in it. I think it's amazing that I could get this laptop for $150. It's extremely durable and almost everything's modular.. you can really replace everything on this laptop including a bigger capacity battery (up to 8700mAh), extended slice battery (additional 8700mAh), GPU, CPU, RAM, two 2.5inch HDDs using a 2nd caddy, mSATA, etc.

You can even get three more USB ports by using this express card!

The 4 USB 3.0 ports built in are plenty on its own. The docking station I have adds 6 more. More than my desktop has.

i was thinking in get a e6430 i had it with a core i7 3630qm with the nvidia gpu and somebody stole it. It's crazy that laptop with nvidia gpu is expensive for my budget. I bought that one cheap because the seller cclaimed it really get hot, as usual Dell people like paste gpu and cpu for cheap... I got a noctua mx4 problem solved, it was at 50 bucks.
But don't know how i got with the m4600... It's almost an Alienware if you know how to build it for cheap...
