    We typically have better luck with ati cards for CAD these days. Granted 3 or so years ago it was nvidia or bust, but now we seem to get a slight edge with ati cards. But for gaming the ati is definitely the card to go with.

    Which presumably means they found a way to enable 30bit color from the FirePro (rather than, they found a way to drive the display at only 24bit, such as by dithering)? Just checking.

    Confirmed on Dell.fr site also, no longer get an error if you select FirePro M5950 and "Écran LCD Full HD RVB 39,6 cm (15,6 pouces) (1 920 X 1 080) avec grand angle de vue, technologie IPS et rétroéclairage par LED".

    Help!

    I've got two external monitors in my office, both of them are DELL 19 inches LCD with DVI and VGA port.

    I tried anyway I could try but i still cannot make the screen extend to both of those monitors. I can always only have one external screen connected and display! Even there are 3 monitors (included the m4600's own) identified in the Display Properties dialog.

    I did google a lot, I've seen someone said he connect the monitors with Active DisplayPort converters then it works, it support the AMD Eyefinity. But the problem is I don't need the Eyefinity, all i really want is extend my desktop to those 2 external monitors then i could have better display for my work.

    I am really frustrated with this now, I thought the 2 more external monitors supporting is supposed to be one of the mandatory features with workstation machines like M4600. But I cannot figure it out, how could this be!

    Does anyone have any idea or tips?? Thanks in advance.

    By the way, I connect those two monitors with:
    HDMI -> DVI
    DisplayPort -> DVI

    Now its been a while since I used eyefinity, but I do believe you need to use a Display port and enable eyefinity (turns 3 into 1) to use 3 LCDs.

    Thanks, but I actually don't need eyefinity, I need extend the desktop to 2 external LCDs, that is it. And I do use DisplayPort. Two of my external LCDs all have only the DVI port, so I use HDMI -> DVI and DisplayPort -> DVI convertion wire to connect them.

    Still, it counts as EyeFinity as soon as you have at least one screen connected. EyeFinity is the name of the technology for driving more than one screen on those ATI cards.

    Anyway, are you 100% sure your DisplayPort to DVI adapter is an ACTIVE model? Passive models don't work with EyeFinity. Also make sure your driver is up to date (mine is Driver Packaging Version 8.85.7.5-110926a-126002C-Dell, downloaded from the dell support page)

    My M4600 works with two external screens + builtin screen. One of them is DVI, the other one is display port to DVI (active adapter). I connect both screens to the rear of the dell docking station. Once I had connected with the active displayport adapter (Sapphire Eyefinity adapter), it worked like a charm.

    Thanks for so much details! Yes I understand now that I need a Active DisplayPort, the current one I am using is not Active, which I bought it before i realized this... I have already ordered one Active DisplayPort to VGA convert wire from an online store, I believe that will be able to figure out my problem.

    And I am pretty sure I have latest driver for my GPU, so won't have issue with it then.

    Thanks again!
