    pull the power plug.

    pull the battery.

Open the bottom cover, pull the bios battery.

    Wait a while.

    Put it all back together.

Get out a piece of paper and pen.

Write down the password this time.

Is it possible to change the resolution on m4600 with full hd panel to maybe 1600x900 or 1366x768 in windows and at games?

Of course, why should M4600 be any different than other notebooks? It is up to Windows and game in question.

Review Dell Precision M4600 Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

"Those that generally want to reduce the resolution, will be a bit disappointed. The possible resolutions below Full HD are 1280x1024 pixels and lower, and those in between, such as 1600x900 or 1366x768, aren't supported by the display."

Im interesting in the m4600 with Ati Fire Pro, and i think it could be maybe important to change the resolution lower than full hd.

    Thx.

I assumed you thought that there is no resolution change possible, not that some modes are unavailable. I don't play that much and I haven't changed resolution at all. But judging by available resolutions in menu (I can only say for Quadro 2000M) 1366x768 is possible; there is no 1600x900 but 1680x1050 and 1440x900 are present.

Aha ok, thank you very much.

What about m4600 full hd with ati fire pro, is it possible to change the resolution to maybe 1366x768 or something else?

    With the 5950, you have 1600*900, 1280*720 and 800*600 with Windows 7..

    And a lot with the CCC, 1680*1050, 1600*1900, 1400*1050, 1280*1024, 1280*768, 1280* 720..etc

    You have the choice ;)

My m4600 is firepro and I cannot choose 1366 X 768 with just my own laptop display. My display by default is 1920 X 1080.

    hi all.

Yesterday I was ordering M4600 and while trying to get better deal via sales chat got a quote (got $100 off the online price so far). However noticed one thing - in my online quote I had “Light Sensitive Webcam and Noise Cancelling Digital Array Mic SKU 318-0345”. Quote I got from sales had "Integrated webcam with single digital microphone SKU 318-0345". Response on my question regarding availability of dual mic array was "... There’s no option for a dual mic on this model ... ". Is it really so? I use VOIP alot and better camera and dual mic are important (not a deal breaker but still). Thanks
