I just got my M4600, doing some burn in test right now.

Does anyone know how to solve problem with paragon advanced backup and recover 2011 free edition recover media stuck?

I backed up my old vostro 1500 laptop with it just fine, created recover media (both DVD and USB drive). I used that on my new precision M4600 and it refuses to work. I tried normal mode (it keeps on rebooting my computer), safe mode (it goes blank, I see .... at the top left and then nothing for over 1/2 hour. this happens with both safe mode)

I would like to make a good backup image of my new m4600 HDD before it grows too big with software I am planning to install. If paragon backup & recover will not work, can anyone recommend any free software that will let me build a recover media which works with m4600?

Also, how do you put your system in your signature file?

    Thanks

Thanks. I just figured out why. I need 5 "quality" posts before I can edit signature or PM anyone. I was wondering why I cannot do it.

I had that same problem too but I fixed it by assigning a drive letter.

Control-Panel -> Administration Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management

See if the new drive shows up, just lack a drive letter. If you cannot even see your new drive (after unlock it) in the disk management, then something else is wrong. My problem was lack assigned drive letter. It only shows up in the disk management but not in explorer. Once I assign a drive letter to it, I can see and use the drive just fine.
