I'm using Kingston HyperX 1600 MHz DD3 with timings of 9-9-9-27 and I have strange random issues with my machine. I have 4 4 GB sticks and I've tried various combinations and anytime I use these sticks by themselves I get issues like not being able to shut down, not seeing USB devices being plugged in among others. It may just be my motherboard or system in particular but just a warning. Also, you will probably see better performance with lower RAM timings than with higher DDR3 frequencies (according to benchmarks on Anandtech)

just a quick update. i didn't manage to get the runcore ssd Runcore Pro V 6GB mSATAIII 120GB RCP-V-T5028-MC working on the dell precision m4600.

the shop i bought it from asiatechtrade had great customer service and gave me a full refund on it.

in the end i bought the intel 310 80gb msata. works fine in the m4600 in combo with the western digital 1tb :D

a question that got asked earlier, that noone responded to b4 that i'm also wondering about. what is the empty DMC slot next to the wireless card for ?

That is very helpful. I must think again before buying higher timing memory.

Boot into diagnostic mode and test the RAM. I had to RMA a stick of this RAM earlier this year.

It is also sensitive to being properly seated in the RAM slot. You might try re-seating all of it. Overall, not happy with it.
