I believe a better way to handle this would be to use the scaling feature in Windows 7 to scale the text up. I've read that using 125% works pretty well. This keeps the screen at a higher resolution so it looks crisper but still gives you easier to read text. The scaling in Windows 7 works much better then in previous versions of Windows.

Ah, interesting: 1360x768 aren't available. Thank you very much for the screenshots. They are a little reduced in resolution (I mean the 1440x900 for example has only 1024x724 pixel) - so it's hard to judge the readability of text - but they did show me that I should try another time to see such a display - or a similar - in reality - and that's what I did. I went to a local notebook store. All I could see, was a 16,4 Sony with fullhd, but I think this is true:

That looks definitely better at last in win7 (in firefox I'm not sure...).

But if you try to scale up to 150% win7 is warning about the problem that text might be not visible in some circumstances... And that's the reason for me to take the hd+ display: Here 125% will be big enough for me... So I will abandon the option of fullhd (although it's brighter and has more contrast) for the better 'readability' of the hd+ display. Thanks for your help folks.

    Greetings from germany
    Pekka

All in all, display choice is my last question mark about M4500.
Since my eyesight is not as good as it was, I think that HD+ should be the best choice for me.
An FHD display used with Windows font scaling is the other tempting option but I'm afraid that could happen cases when font scaling conflicts with non-scaling pictures (e.g. in buttons), so I'm not really confident with that.
Windows warning you mentioned seems to confirm my fears.

"although it's brighter and has more contrast"
Did you find display specs about brightness and contrast of FHD and HD+ in M4500? I didn't, so far.
Aren't both of them WLED displays of similar quality?

Edit: ok, forget it. I've found the link you gave in an earlier post.

Does anyone know if the M4500 will handle a class 6 (16gb) SDHC card in the reader?

I don't know, but the class rating shouldn't be relevant.

Correct; there should be no reason for the reader not to handle a card that fits in the reader. The class rating is simply a measure of the potential speed of the card.

Yeah, I think I emphasized the wrong part. I think I meant ask more about the SDHC compatibility. Will the system recognize the full 16 gigs on a card that big.

Of course it will. SDHC cards and readers compatible with them have been around for years. If you have any reasonably recent gadget, be that a camera, camcorder, computer, whatever, that can handle SD cards, it will be able to handle SDHC cards, too.

P.S.: Your system will have no problems recognizing 32GB cards, either, by the way. 16 gigs is not a particularly big card these days.
