Thanks for that. I'd seen somewhere that certain processors don't support more than 8 GB. It's good to know we can go to 16 GB at some point. Where have you seen the 8 GB sticks (that fit the M4500) advertised? Do you have a make and model for them? I can tell you what, if anything, I find out.

I'm late with this post, but I did play with it some. No success though. Reverted to a prior cold backup, and did not install it. This is a clean Win7 x64 SP1 build.

Can't figure out why Dell has so much trouble with the quality of device driver and utility software. Also can't figure out why they feel compelled to supply utilities and applications for functionality which is already provided by the operating system. It would be great if one could order units without this stuff, since it is very time consuming to build a minimal software configuration from scratch.

Several new downloads have been available for some time, but still no update to the Re-Image Guide. ):

Good results so far with the new WD7500BPKT 750GB hard drive. Runs quiet, although a tad louder than the 500 GB drive it replaced.

    hi,

im going to preorder the new Dell™ Precision™ M6600 but im not sure wich keyboard layout to choose do someone have pictures of the Internal US-Int (Qwerty) Backlit Keyboard to share please?

    thanks :D

    btw i can choose between:

Internal US-Int (Qwerty) Backlit Keyboard [ajouter 40,00 €]

Internal French (Azerty) Backlit Keyboard [ajouter 40,00 €]

Internal German (Qwerty) Backlit Keyboard [ajouter 40,00 €]

Internal Swiss/French (Qwerty) Backlit Keyboard [ajouter 40,00 €]

Internal Swiss/German (Qwerty) Backlit Keyboard [ajouter 40,00 €]

Internal UK/Irish (Qwerty) Backlit Keyboard [ajouter 40,00 €]

i think the us-int is the us and the uk/irish is just the standard english right?

At a guess, just the dollars and pounds key difference to cater to currency differences between UK and US, I live in a British colony, we use dollars, therefore our keyboards are US/Int Eng type

The 97WHr is the standard 9-cell
The 87WHr has a 3 year warr on it.

Yes the M4500 support 2 different kinds of 3G mobile broadband cards. Maybe sure you have one installed, drivers loaded, turned on in BIOS, and the WiFi switch turned on for it to work.

Many thanks for your replay, just I try to find driver for this device...I tried all for M4500, but in Dell Mobile Broadband Manager show that device is not found.

Maybe who can direct me on the correct way...how I can install all. Believe me I didn't found any information in all manuals on dell suport center.

    Ragards,
    Tomas
