I am having a lot of problems with the mouse USB drivers. The computer does not install the right drivers and I need to clean off all drivers and reinstall. I think this may be a hardware problem. Ideas?

This was due to a startup problem with SecureDoc disk encryption.

Can the graphics card drive two monitors? I can run with manual settings both a 30" and 23" monitor at maximum resolution. But it does not recognize the pair on start-up.

I am running through through DisplayPort 2560x1600 the other is DVI 1920x1280.

    Suggestions? Comments?

Finally, is there any reason to install the ControlPoint Security drivers? This seems to be bloatwear?

Hello everyone, this is my first post here.
Coming from an Inspiron 9100 still working, I am considering buying a M4500.
    Below my configuration:
    940XM i7 processor, 8 GB, fx 1800m graphics card, 500 GB HD, 1920x1080 monitor.
You have no idea if this system (processor and graphics card) could cause problems of overheating of the laptop?

    Thanks
    Doc

Why would it? The laptop is designed to work in this configuration, and it does. This is a professional-grade machine, not a toy.

    Hello,

I want to ask a question about a little detail which makes great sense for my using.

    1) on dell.com it seems that M4500 has a keyboard with a small horizontal enter key.

    2) On various review sites accessed via google, I see that M4500 can also have bigger conventional enter keys which can be seen at:

    3) I've contacted dell about this confusion but sales experts seem not to have enough information about this.

can anyone please help me about this little detail? can you please state your M4500s' enter key sizes and the store and country you bought them? I am mostly coding so that I barely look at the keyboard while typing, so a conventional enter key is very important to me.

    thanks in advance.

I bought my M4500 in the USA and I have a smaller, horizontal-only enter key.

Thank you Pirx for your answer.
    Sorry for my confusing question.
I'm interested in CUDA elaborations in molecular modelling and High-throughtput sequencing fields, since I'm a researcher.
My question was to solve my doubt regarding the extreme configuration Dell offers (not HP or Lenovo) with i7 940XM and FX 1800M and resulting working temperature.
I have just read all pages of this thread and and I was reassured on the cooling system as I well know that this is not a toy... but just a confirmation of who already has this configuration and works with it.

Couldn't hurt to get a decent notebook cooler (Zalman NC2000 for instance) to shave another couple degrees of. Might keep your system in better shape in the long run and definetly makes a big difference audio wise as the Zalman's fans are very quiet and keep the notebook's fans from running as much.

Ordered mine in Belgium and it has a bigger ENTER key. I suspect (don't KNOW though) it just follows the standard for regional keyboard layouts?
