Go to the Dell page that has documentation for the M4500 and download the service manual. That'll tell you very clearly where the SSD minicard is.

    M4500 Documentation

It has to be just a matter of time. When I Google for 128GB Minicard SSD, all I find is announcements from Toshiba from about 10 months ago, but I don't find any product. I wouldn't be surprised if once a product is announced and shipping, we'll hear about it here.

For some reason, the links to the service manual on the URL listed above don't work. But they work from here:
    Documentation

That being said, I still don't see any reference to the mini-SSD!

I just took my first plane trip with the M4500 and experienced exactly as you describe. I was using VLC with the audio cranked up to 200%, and I was not able to watch the movie I'd intended due to low and muffled audio through the headphones. I tried both the over-the-ear-pad headphones, and the stock iPhone earbuds. Neither were sufficient. I never had an issue with previous computers.

I am wondering if those earbuds that go further into the ear canal might help.

It goes in the same slot as the Latitude ON Flash Card... See that section of the documentation.

Not nec true... My M4400 was crappy for audio but not my M4500. I do high end film, visual fx, and audio production and it works perfect. I just got done recording 500 foley/sfx tracks and a mix for a film. Generally when doing mixing I'm plugged in through a breakout fast track pro or something for xlr out.

One thing I noticed today, my m4500 has a constant low volume ticking noise. Appears to be coming from the right side of the machine. It little sounds like a clock ticking, but about 180 ticks a minute. It is easily heard when the fan is not running. Anyone else has this?
