I did not follow the reimage guide to the letter.

In my case, the point of reinstalling Windows 7 was to install only the drivers and utilities which were essential for my needs. For example, my laptops do not need the Intel AMT driver or the compact MS SQL server which is installed with that driver. For example, the Dell ControlPoint software was introducing problems (nVidia adapter crashes, jerky touchpad response); DCP is not installed. For example, I did install the Intel driver for the wireless 6300 card, but not the Intel wireless config utilities, since the Windows 7 native wireless config tools were more than adequate.

The factory install had several more services running than my minimal install. The factory install included daemons reporting useless info in the system tray. I don't like all that junk running behind the scenes doing who knows what? Also, a lot of this code does not play well together when new, much less after service packs and updates.

    FWIW.

I did everything twice as written in the guide, but the but the problems remained:
    1. I can not install turbo boost driver (whether there is any alternative for this drive?)
    2. I can not install Intel AMT HECI diver too.

P.S. Windows Experience index show 5,9 for Primary Hard disc (whether this is normal?)

    Thanks,
    Tomas

Are these the only two problems you're having?

    1. Turbo bust driver is for Dual Core processors only. I assume your system is not allowing the install because you have a quad core.

    2. Did you order your M4500 with Intel Advanced Management Technology? Do you need AMT?

p.s. The spinning HDD is the weak point in M4500 WEI rating, 5.9 is typical.

Sounds like your system is working properly now.

Many of us did not. A more accurate way to state this would be that one should:

    1. Print out the official guide.
    2. Go over the official guide and cross out anything that does not apply to your hardware
    3. Go over the official guide and cross out anything that you will choose not to install
    4. NOW, follow the official guide, as it remains, to the letter

This will ensure that the items that you do choose to install are installed in the correct order.

My M4500's shipped with Nanya DDR3 sticks populated with Nanya chips.

Historically I've purchased from Crucial, but their prices seem steep now. Also, I called Crucial to confirm their products provided the same level of performance as the factory RAM and they were unable to do so; all they would say is their RAM was "compatible".

    Thanks for assistance,

    1. Does that mean that my machine is not working with Turbo Boost technology or just no any driver is necessary?

    2. Thanks, yuo are absolutely right, I order my M4500 without AMT ;)
