    I haven't done rigorous testing but the new driver is dated 1/30/09... finally we are in this years driver versions. The driver definitely seemed to removed the flicker that was in the last driver. So far pretty win.

    Update: I have been working for 3 hours on a project and have yet to get the Open GL error i was having issues with In AE, Premiere Pro and other aps. Might be a good sign.

    I'm using Windows 7 build 7048. I think there is a little bit more glitches than updated Vista, although it normally runs better. I mean until you run into some problem (which is not too common) it runs much better better, more smoothly than Vista, less resource hungry, all Aero stuff much better, gadgets also less resource hog. And all taskbar / alt-tab / Aero Peek /Personalization changes are great for me. I am also using libraries which can be really cool, specially for media (music and movies).

    Since I installed it I did not want to go back to Vista at all. Besides what I talk in some of my posts, only regular use problem I encountered is that I could not backup/export my EFS encryption cetificate.

    BTW, I use Vista Business 32-bit and Windows Ultimate 64-bit.

    BTW2, I talk about my audio experience in my posts in this thread.

    CSHawkeye81, your sig says DDR3 for your M4400. Last I checked on the dell configurator it only offers DDR2, is it a typo or am I looking in the wrong place?

    @theZoid

    What kind of battery life do you get in linux and how is the webcam performance? Also are there any hardware incompatibilities in linux that can't be fixed? Thanks.

    Its a typo, will fix in a sec. The audio issue I had was resolved with the latest Intel chipset drivers.

    Mine has arrived. Out of the box, its a quad Q9300 @2.53GHz, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive. FX 770M, 1920x1200 LED, Vista x64, etc. I got the battery slice with it but haven't done anything with that yet.

    I've powered it up, but really need to open it up and replace the RAM and HD before I do much.
