So, it's February 2011. The price of 4GB sticks of DDR3 ram is quite low, certainly much cheaper than the price of 4GB sticks of DDR2 for the m4400..........unless anyone has a source for a much less expensive solution??

I'm returning my Latitude E6510 because I just bought a M4400 from the Dell Outlet. (because I need 16:10)

    The specs are:
    2.4GHz P8600 (Upgrading to 2.8GHz T9600)
    4GB DDR2-800
    Quadro FX 770m 512MB
WUXGA RGB-LED (there were only two left in the Dell Outlet that had this, and this was the main reason I went for a M4400. There's still one left if anyone wants to go for it!)
Dell Wireless 1397 802.11bg (Upgrading to Atheros 9280 - has all of the features I want: 802.11abgn, dual-band, packet injection support, and promiscuous mode)
    Integrated Webcam + Mic
    160GB 7200RPM FFS (Upgrading to 500GB 7200RPM; couldn't find FFS though)
Windows Vista Business 64-Bit (Upgrading to Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate 64-Bit)
9-Cell Battery (Upgrading to 12-Cell - huge extended battery, not battery-slice)

    Dear M4400 Owners,

For the newest (Dell) drivers for the FX770m, get the ISV Certified A01 Driver for the Dell Precision M4500 (normally for the FX880m).
Ive been using it since it came out, its working fine, its got proper OpenGL acceleration (unlike the nVidia drivers for the FX770m from the nVidia site(which work the same as Geforce drivers - even though they say Quadro)) and its got the newer features..

Thought i'd share this with you!

    Peace

Hey so did anyone figure out which was the best BIOS out there to prevent under clocking / best fan performance etc? Dell's up to version A24 now I think. Which one should I go with? I think currently I'm on A06.

I used to be able to run games just fine. Although lately ( past 3-4 months) when I run TF2 I get a sudden drop in fps somewhere in the range of 9-15, and when i stumbled upon this forum I realized this could be fixed by updating/rolling back the BIOS.

Currently I'm working on undervolting hoping it will also help the issue.
