Can you explain what you used to undervolt and overclock your qx9300? I was never able to make that happen.

I'm able to overclock my QX9200 using Throttlestop. Don't forget to hit the unlock button, and make sure the voltage is above 0.9 or whatever Throttlestop defaults to, before you start jacking up the multiplier.

Mind taking a screenshot of your throttlestop settings?

Yeah, indeed Throttlestop. You can just have it autostart with user logon. Takes almost no resources and works great!

What are the settings you're using? I haven't found any documentation on throttlestop?

    I use these:

Just make sure to click unlock first. It will show a popup indicating that your multiplier is unlocked. Just save after you are happy with your settings. Next time you start it it will automatically load your saved settings. You can also have it autostart with user logon.

My Precision M4400 has been having some issues with the trackpad ever since I bought it, but it hasn't been too much of an issue because I usually use an external mouse.

Using the standard non-backlit keyboard it came with (refurb model), the trackpad is fine most of the time. However, it has a problem in which the cursor begins to move very slowly, but this is easily fixed by lightly banging on the smart card reader icon indentation.

Also, swapping out for a backlit keyboard (from eBay) intensified the issues beyond the point of minor inconvenience. I'm beginning to suspect the issue stems from both keyboards being faulty, because if I disable touch-check then I don't get the issues and this makes me think it's a key being registered as pressed when it's not, due to faulty contacts. Disabling touch-check raises even more issues because my palms activate the trackpad while typing.

Has anyone else had this issue before?

Plus, question for other owners of the RGBLED screen: do you experience any sort of alternating pixel-lattice effect? such as being able to see the pixels refresh when you move your head and/or move a window onscreen? I'm wondering if this is a defect, or if it's just a characteristic of the Samsung LCD panel and that a replacement would produce the exact same effect.

I've also noticed that the screen must be run in 60Hz mode or the vertical refresh flicker is visible.

i bought the m4400 as soon as it launched, and in my 2+ years of ownership i never had problems with its touchpad

keep in mind i do not use an external mouse and the m4400 was my main computer which i use fpr 8 hours or more per day.

The problem is not with your touchpad but with the touchstick.

Turn it off as a pointing device, and it should go away.

I haven't gotten a definitive answer on this yet. To owners of the M4400 with the RGBLED screen, or owners of the M4400 with the Samsung version of the 2xCCFL screen, have you noticed anything similar to the issue in this video:

Watch the video in the highest quality setting (720p) in order to make the effect visible.
