Yeah same here, I got the exact same screen model SEC5442 (today) and bought it in Malaysia...so far so good..I think Enduct,if you looked at Dell Malaysia's website under the M4400 configuration, they don't offer the 1400x900 screen size no more..only the 15.4" UltraSharp(TM) WUXGA (1920x1200) Display with Wide Viewing Angle is offered. Lucky I got mine before it finished around 4-5 days ago. Hope that info helps somehow..

By the way RAM, how do you run the BIOS diagnostics?

Restart, hit F12, choose Diagnostics bootup, let it do it's automated test and then hit no when it says continue testing memory, and then keep moving on until you see 4 options, one of them will be CUSTOM TEST, go in and from there you can test each piece of hardware inside separately or hit the RUN ALL TESTS button.

Only 330 Malaysian Ringgit for the WUXGA RGB LED? The WUXGA 2CCFL costs more in Europe.

Yes, HDMI is available through the DisplayPort at the rear, which accepts a few other modes also incidentally.

It is a DisplayPort, and will accept multiple types of plugs, including DVI and dual link DVI, as well as HDMI. Also I doubt very much that they have removed 1440x900 resolution for sale. Just because it is not listed it does not mean they are not on offer anymore. You can always call the Dell reps to add it in.

They offer several adapters when you configure your laptop. I think the displayport to HDMI adapter was around $15. Some people might complain about the extra fifteen bucks, but I am happy they offer it. Saves me from trying to find it elsewhere.
