    It probably doesn't agree with the memory... It may not be timing-compatible with your existing modules, have you checked the specs of the ones that came with your system?
    (I'd be pretty surprised if there is a compatibility problem with any M.2 drive that you can install.)

    uff, what a ride! replaced the 8 GB default memory with my 64GB - everything works fine now, including the 970pro drive

    but it does not run at 3200MHz, only 2666

    I thought it won't at 3200 (asked that question few posts back).
    Intel specs say 2666 max for these processors. May be there is something in Bios about Intel's "Extreme memory profile"?

    @tokatoka
    Did you order the system with a M.2 NVMe drive? Curious what model you ended up with, if so?
    (My 7530 has arrived, it's in the building here somewhere...)

    Did someone (who is adding a custom M.2 drive) manage to purchase the laptop without any storage module? I mean there's no point in paying for a small M.2 if you're going to replace it anyway. If yes: How high was the saving?
    Same question for RAM. Is it somehow possible to order it without?

    Someone previously mentioned he was able to order it without Windows. What was the saving on that?

    Ordering it without Windows took $107 off, just shy of a 2% discount in my case. Given that I'd never use it, totally worth it :D

    Dell will allow you to order without Windows but you cannot order without RAM or some sort of storage drive. (And if you want the bigger battery, you have to spring for the cheapest M.2 SSD...)
    (If they did allow this, it would be difficult for them to confirm that they sent you a working system for purposes of warranty...)

    That's very unfortunate. Adding a Quadro requires you to add the larger battery. By adding the large battery, you're required to have a M.2 instead of a cheap hard drive. This chain reaction really annoys me. I have a Samsung 850 Pro with 1TB that I'd love to continue using, but I can't because of the larger battery (that I actually don't really need). Replacing it with a M.2 Samsung Pro 1TB is expensive enough. But paying for a small M.2 just to be able to order the laptop really frustrates me... :(
