@Dell-Mano_G Is it possible to just purchase 7530 without operating system or with FreeDOS until Ubuntu is not available? I need two units, but without Windows and do not want to wait two or three weeks.

In the U.S. it shows up as an option in the "accessories" section when configuring a 7530 or 7730...

The cooling looks pretty anemic...what were they thinking with that few heat pipes?! :(

Dell rep came through with being able to let me see a demo unit.

Looks like the i9 is overclockable with Intel XTU. 5.0Ghz is no problem on this machine. 5.2Ghz even seems to be working. Temps and fan speeds are lower than doing the same thing on the AW17 with the same cpu.

    Will keep testing on it.

Keyboard feels slightly different. More crisp. You can better feel the break when the travel makes it engage. Less bounce. Definately not the same keyboard. Will check the connectors of 7710 vs 7730 for you.

The 4 point mounting for the heat exchanger is a huge improvement over the Aliewnare on its own. Sounds like that is a much bigger change then going from 2 pipes (Alienware) to 1 in the Precision. Looking forward to hearing more about how the cooling performs. Looking to get one of these with a 5 year plan for my dad, want it it last for the long term. He has had his M4600 since Feb 2012, I expect he will use this for just as long.

The P5200 is very fast. A lot bigger jump than I was expecting coming from the P5000. Also seeing the system pull 231w at the wall, so the 240w adapter is going to be a must. Fans and temps are good so far. I had been worried about more noise since the system vents air from both sides as well as the back, but it is not an issue.

I thought that I saw that the new "slim" PSU for the 7730 was only 210W? Maybe that was wrong, it does say 240W on the site for what comes in the box when you order. Are you using a PSU that you have lying around already, or have you seen the new 7730 PSU?

Poking around the support site some more. It looks like it is still an ALPS touchpad in the 7X30, same as the past several generations.
