Unless there's something different this time around, there is no difference, aside from the license key pre-installed if you purchase with a Windows OS as you mentioned.

Of course, there are no general differences, but I mean some specific changes in firmware/UEFI.
There is MSDM ACPI table with licence key, after Windows activation there is SLIC table with activation credentials, anything else?
Are the Windows-preinstalled version and Ubuntu-preinstalled version identical on firmware/UEFI level after removing operating systems?

That's what I'm saying. If you take the OS off, the BIOS/UEFI firmware is exactly the same (aside from the Windows license key). You can install Linux on a system that came with Windows, or Windows on a system that came with Linux, and there won't be any difference.

I just noticed that there is no way to purchase the 7730 with 4K screen and IR camera...

Ubuntu should be available before the end of June.
No difference between the 2 OS's. The version of Ubuntu you get with the system has bug fixes for things that have not been ported to the web yet so our version works perfectly with the system whereas Ubuntu download from online and installed might have some minor issues with WiFi and other items until all our items are put in the distro.

    7530 supports 3 x M.2 PCIe NVME or 2 x M.2 & 1 x 2.5" drive.
    7730 supports 4 x M.2 PCIe NVME or 3 x M.2 & 1 x 2.5" drive.
Due to power demand on the system the 2.5" drive and smaller battery are only available with the following graphics offerings:
    7530: WX4150, P1000, & P2000. Not with the P3200.
    7730: WX4150 only. WX7100, P3200, P4200, & P5200 require the larger battery so that means no 2.5" drive allowed.

@Aaron44126 Of course, I can install Ubuntu on a machine with pre-installed Windows. I am just curious if there any differences with firmware/UEFI or any security holes caused by pre-installed Windows. Please remember Dell does its best, but still some UEFI mechanism and features are not safe (huge security problem with Intel AMT [vPro] and Computrace).

Actually, "normal" Ubuntu always works perfectly. Furthermore, nobody is going to use Ubuntu 16.04 provided by Dell when Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is released.

@Dell-Mano_G Are you 100% sure there are no differences on UEFI/firmware level between two machines: one with pre-installed Windows, second with pre-installed Ubuntu?
I am asking because Microsoft like to put its proprietary solutions everywhere (e.g. ACPI or SecureBoot extensions) and some of them are more backdoors rather than safety features.
