    Hello everyone
I am going to upgrade ssd on 7560
replace in gen4 slot storage with samsung 980pro 1Tb
    add gen3 slots two samsung 970 2Tb
dell specs told that gen3 only possibly 1Tb
    Will this combination works properly?

Don't worry about Dell specs. That's just what they have available for sale. All 2280 NVMe drives work. (No one has tested 8TB to my knowledge, but it worked on prior systems if you disable RAID mode.)
(Some systems have an issue with PCIe4 drive in PCIe4 slot disappearing. Shuffle drives around if this happens to you. Hopefully they have a fix soon, or you can contact Dell for a MB or system replacement.)

Do you still have the issue with PCIe4 slot disappearing?

I haven't tried it in a few weeks but there have been no changes that would make me think that it would work better if I did try it.

This is the same for me, my CPU throttles before I hear any fan ramp up. Even using Aaron's Dell Fan Management app set to performance mode it still won;t ramp fans up until the dGPU is heavily engaged. Seems like the laptop is ignoring the CPU temps altogether.

Keep in mind that these run very hot in the gen4 slot. Mine would idle at 55c and would go as high as 65c under load.

What options in the bios did you all change? There are lot of options and I want to make sure I did not miss anything important.

The only changes I have made are switching to AHCI and disabling the iGPU.

Basically this, plus disabling the BIOS autorecovery stuff, and tweaking the battery charge settings.

I have removed the keyboard to upgrade RAM, and I haven't noticed any noises caused by a loose lattice. Triple check to see if you have pressed down all parts of the lattice (press down with a decent amount of force). It took me 2 weeks to notice one clip in the lattice that I forgot to clip back in.
