The one on the Dell Site from June looks newer than the one that was installed during initial setup for me (through Windows Update).

In Device Manager, I see 5.7.20.25 date 5/4/21

Dell Download site has 5.7.21.28 dated 6/22/21

When I run Command Update does not show any update for Control Vault for my system.

Windows Update History shows the Dell - CVault - 2.7.20.25 was updated on 7/23/21. That is when I setup the 7760.

I have been holding off on installing the optional updates on all my systems since I think they may not be final and out there for users to test. I could be wrong on that.

I never do the "preview" updates. The fixes will be rolled into the next non-preview update, due for release on 9/14 (second Tuesday of the month).

ControlVault is funny, you can't trust what Device Manager says to line up with the version of the package on the Dell site. There's multiple versions of different components.
For example, in Device Manager I see: Dell Control Vault w/ Fingerprint Touch Sensor, 5/4/2021, 5.7.20.25.
Also, under "Biometric devices", Control Vault w/ Fingerprint Touch Sensor, 3/11/2021, 5.7.14.4.
(Both of these drivers are installed by the ControlVault package. It also includes a firmware update for ControlVault which will get applied if necessary, and some support software.)

For those of you who have non-ECC modules, what is the CL?

Dell uses JEDEC timings, so 3200 MHz is CL22. Pretty rubbish, yeah.

which app can I use to show the fan speed? I do not want to change or manage the fans, just curious what the RPMs are at different times.

To my knowledge, Dell Fan Management is the only app around at the moment that can show the fan speed in real time :)

(...It can't actually control the fans, the options are non-functional.)

You can also install Dell Command | Monitor and query the fan speed from PowerShell.

Has anybody been able to confirm if the 7760 can drive an external 4K monitor at 120hz?

I'm not fond of how Dell has built the keyboards in these notebooks. After the first removal, the lattice becomes very loose, impacts on keys and causes a weird resonance effect that doesn't exist when the notebook is new.
